The GMR 404/406 marine radar pedestal supports GMR 404's 4 ft (1.22 m) and GMR 406's 6 ft (1.83 m) open array and must be purchased separately in combination with these products. All radar data is digitally processed within this solid pedestal via a digital signal processor and is presented efficiently on compatible Garmin chartplotter/multifunction displays (MFDs). Digital processing allows for more precise recognition, enhancement, and filtering of radar echoes, making the finished display easier to read and interpret. This pedestal's two speed gear box allows for an antenna sweep of either 24 or 48 RPMs with an input voltage of 10.5 to 38 V DC and a typical input power of 45W.
